May 11-12, 2008 - Treat your Mother to a "VA Horse Lovers Special".

For the horse lover in everyone enjoy a 2-1/2 hrs. horsebacfk ride and see the countryside from another point of view. Includes a two night stay, 4-course dinner both nights and a 3-course breakfast each morning, and afternoon tea on Mothers Day. $380.00 and up.

May 15, 2008 - Overnight Camping/Trail Ride

24-hr period of great fun! Tents and sleeping bags provided. Snacks & beverages, campfire dinner and breakfast, and entertainment included and lots of riding!! $140.00 per person.

June 17, 2008 - Overnight Camaping/Trail Ride (same as above).

July 10, 2008 - Overnight Camping/Trail Ride (same as above).

July 11-12, 2008 - Introduction to Horses

Great activities for families, couples and singles. Learn the real low-down on horse maintenance and ownership. Hands on ground work to in the saddle for real riding for the entire family. Includes two nights lodging, two breakfasts, two dinners and one lunch along with Intro Course, hands on w/grooming and tacking. then experience a real ride in the beautiful countryside. $390.00 and up.

Our double occupancy rooms range from $96.00/$98.00/$110.00 per night plus tax. All rooms have private bath and includes breakfast.

We can accommodate larger parties (up to seven in one party) and pricing is dictated on number of adults/children in party.

Third night receives a 15% discount.

a: 2-1/2 hour trail ride for Guests @ $45.00 per person
for Non-Guests $50.00 per person
b: All day Trail Ride (6-7 hours with lunch included)
Guests $100.00 per person
Non-Guests $115.00 per person

Boating Package @ Smith Mountain Lake 4-Hour Package includes lunch, drinks, and snacks. $145.00 plus tax for the first two persons in the same party; each additional person in same party @ $45.00 per person. Tubing and water skiing are available @ $5.00 per person extra.

The Boating Package is for either guests or non-guests at the Inn.

$150.00 per one night plus tax.

  • Aug 16 - Bedford County Family Farm Tour - 10:00am - 3:00pm - In celebration of agriculture past and present, this year's tour will highlight Johnson's Orchard and Peaks of Otter Winery, a 5th generation family farm established in 1918 and celebrating 90 years at this site. Anticipated activities on Tour Day include orchard and winery tours, viewing the major soil and water conservation practices the farm has established to protect our environment, a demonstration of an antique cider press, farm equipment and livestock; a demonstration hive of honeybees; and Bedford Area Master Gardeners on hand to answer lawn and landscape questions. Additionally, groups scheduled to be with us with information and displays include the Peaks of Otter Soil and Water Conservation District, the Society of St. Andrew, Hunters for the Hungry, The Lynchburg Bird Club, and Bedford 4-H. You will enjoy food samples and informative demonstrations. You are invited to bring a picnic lunch and camera, but please leave your pets at home. Lunch and locally produced foods will be available for purchase. - Johnson's Orchard and Peaks of Otter Winery. From Bedford, take Rt. 460 West for about 1/2 mile. Turn right on Rt. 680 (Patterson Mill Rd.).
